What can I do?

ControlTier is a large software project comprised of a server, client and control modules. Depending on your interest and skill set there are various ways you can participate.

Join Mailing lists: Participate in the discussion about ControlTier in our three mailing lists.

Report Bugs: If you are using ControlTier and find something does not work the way you expect it to, we would definitely like to hear about it. Submit a new bug to the ControlTier bug tracker.

Platform developer: The ControlTier platform is divided into server and client components. If you are an experienced Java developer familiar with developing web-based applications and are willing to dive into a large piece of software with many layers, this is the project for you! Go to the ControlTier Sourceforge project and checkout the sourcecode and dig in.

Note
Coming soon: A developer wiki

Module developer: Are you an expert in a deploying a particular software platform? Are you handy using Ant? Are you adept at solving automation problems? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you have the makings of a module developer. To get started install the ControlTier stack and use the Workbench applications to build and test a module. If you think your module would be useful to others post a message about it.

Note
Looking for a volunteer to setup a module repository. (e.g., controltier-modules).
