Scope and Purpose | ||
This is the user guide for ControlTier Commander. It covers everything you need to know to start using Commander to execute commands, create simple command modules and manage a multi-tier application.
The User guide is organized into several sections, each focusing on related tasks and will help teach you best practices and skills:
- Getting Started: Provides a conceptual overview, introducing key terms, and introduces the Commander framework and commands.
- Tutorial: Uses a sample application to describe the typical workflow of using Commander to manage a multi-tier application.
- Basic Techniques: Describes various tasks to using Commander to find what is currently managed, creating management commands and configuration file management.
- Advanced Techniques: Describes in more depth how to write model-driven commands, as well as, creating new command modules.
To use this guide you need to be familiar with creating and editing objects in Workbench, and executing shell commands.
